Suzannah Johannes grew up outside the Kansas farm town Hiawatha and came to Lawrence for the Industrial Design Program at KU. Making the rounds of the Lawrence music scene, she would pick up the guitar on occasion and mesmerize everyone with Leonard Cohen and Rolling Stones covers. After winning the KJHK battle-of-the-bands, the "Farmer's Ball", Suzie took her winnings and hit the studio for a few snowy sessions, recording a mix of originals, covers and this four-song collaboration with her friend, the songwriter Hanz Bronze. Features David Wetzel, Mike Nolte, Andrew Connor and Josh Adams, from the band Ghosty, and lead guitar from Steve (Say My Name) Swyers. Recorded by Steve Squire, with additional recording by Mike Nolte, mixed by Mike Nolte at More Famouser, and mastered by Roger Seibel at SAE.
